what radio are you wanting to put it in?

I bought a 2018 mic the other day. it arrived saturday.cost was 27.95 shipped to the house and it is clean and works good. that is one advantage to being up all night and see what shows up. I have got many a good buy's that way. if you snooze you lose.

have you tried to unplug the antenna lead from the back of the radio to see if the noise stops while all is running. if the noise goes away the noise is coming in through the antenna and not the power wires. Fords are bad for fuel pump noise which is a whining noise similar to alt noise on your year...

more than likely just needs the receive tuned. some one more than likely got inside with a screw driver and turned L cans that did not need to be turned trying to increase the TX

cbtricks.com has most of the radios that would have the 360015 board in it. find one there and do the internal adjustments to set the controls inside to get what you need.

I have never found a manual for this radio. you may just have to find one that is using the same board to make adjustments with. that is what I normally do when I can not find the exact radio. this works fine this way by using a different radio with the same board. we have a chopper pilot here in Ok...

MDY has you started in the right direction. look for the 1n60 diodes should be around D! D2 and maybe D5 and D6. if you were lucky it may have shorted one or 2 of them. do not have a schematic here but those numbers are about what is in most radios in the front of the receive. after looking at the meters for you I bought one that looks like it will be pretty good. it has the 2.2 firmware in it and comes with the 3 test leads. even has the factory case for it. it is 21.99 with 3 test leads. you might look at the wire routing to the freq counter. some times you ca reroute the wires from the others and the buzzing will stop. each wire location is marked 1 to 8. just match up the box and rotar with the same wire to each pin. 1 to 1 , 2 to 2 etc.the rotar needs the 8 pin connector also

sounds like you might have a cold solder joint. on the solder side of the radio you will see one or 2 metal plates soldered to ground. in that general area is the PLL, VCO and crystal areas. look close at the solder joints and reflow the bad looking ones. some of those radios even had a 10kc switch on them. so there is a few different versions. if you only have a total of 2 trans on the back panel it will be a single final. a dual final will have 3 trans on the back case. one is the driver and 1 or 2 are the finals depending on which version you have...
