Transel Transalyzer

Hello
I have a Transel Transalyzer Oscilloscope with wattmeter and am looking for a service manual or schematic for this unit.
I just purchased it on ebay broken and the repair info would be helpful.

hello
i have the operations manual.
got it off bama site. doesn't have the schematic.
this unit is a mark III. doesn't have the freq counter like the mark IIIA has.

Does the tube/scope show a dot when turned on?

haven't received it yet.
i have repaired o scopes in the past.
it would be convenient if i had a schematic in the case of a possibly toasted part or missing part.
i usually buy broken items from fleabay and repair them.
with the extensive library of schematics i have i sometimes run into a broken item that i do not have info on.

Well when you do get it I hope it's something simple like just needing filter caps, old caps are always the main problem.

hello
i will clean it up,deoxit controls, remove and clean out crt socket,recap,wiring, whatever is needed
probably will add a rms switch to wattmeter. got 2 mark II wattmeters, one i am using,one for spare parts.
will be a neat project.
oh by the way, i am in need of a schematic for a tx-2 autronics buddy transmitter as well.
if you come across one let me know.

Unit came in today. clean inside. shows trace on screen,hv ark on power supply board. will start recapping tonight.

At one time you could find a lot of manuals and schematics for ham type equipment on http://bama.edebris.com/manuals/ if not in the list check the newsletter updates. Good to know you have a lot of schematics, might want to make a post of your inventory, might help out another member sometime.

my library is pretty extensive.
i have almost all of the howard w sams cb radio publication manuals.
also have many downloaded manuals i have collected over the years on amplifiers and antenna data.
i received a degree in electronics in 1987 and have been repairing radios off and on ever since.
i will be glad to help anyone who needs a schematic or service manual download if i have one in my library.
also i hold a general class radio telephone license.

Well the transel is finished. calibrating wattmeter to a thruline. I know that the 2 meters movements are different in taughtness since the transel is old and am sure might have been abused at one time or another.
i will post a video of it working or at least a pic with an envelope on the scope.

Sorry to bump an old post, but did you ever find a schematic for your transalyzer? I just got one and it sort of works, but there are a few things inside that look modded. For example the tone pot has definitely been replaced and I'm not sure if it is the correct value, or if it is even wired right.

If you still have yours, is there any chance you could post some internal pics, and the correct value of the tone pot?

I'll bump this one too - I picked up a nice Transel Trans-a-lizer scope and wattmeter unit. The scope works great, but the meter went dead on me after I sprayed the rotary switch with Deoxit! I would like to replace the rotary switch, so if anyone knows of a schematic or a specific replacement switch I'd be most grateful. Thanks Checkerboard in Sonora
