I read where Ranger Communications moved It’s manufacturing facilities to Vietnam. I would not expect a QC change.

I don't think it is where they are made but just a sign of the times, back in the day companies took pride in manufacturing a quality product, now a days it's how many they can turn out in a day.

Well...."Yes it is"... Whoever can do it the cheapest, "Wins"... Been that way for decades and not likely to change...

I have seen about 2 Korean radios AM only and they did look a little better inside as far as solder joints from what I have seen from the China radios. but 2 is not a good example of their quality of work. hopefully they will be a little better after time goes on. the car companies are even having electronic parts made over seas since they are cheaper there.

we will just have wait and see since they are coming from there now.

the electrical/electronic components mfg'd in the indo-china hemisphere the last decade has led me to believe that their standards has fallen further and every piece of their work has to be checked , many times replaced with parts sourced elsewhere, which are getting harder to find.
this is the main reason for so much of the regulation (i see) in an effort to control/improve.
the same ol rule applies, "you get what you pay for". boy does that ring true.
american companies are starting up to fill the void, going to take time thou.
