Additional Forum Maybe

Post by DX_MONKEY » Sunday, 02 December 2007, 15:59 PM

How about 1 catchall forum that can cover any and all other kinds of radio operation other than CB. That can include ham, scanners, marine, receivers and shortwave listening, MURS, FRS and GMRS ect...

Just a thought. Thanks for looking!

I would second that!

Also a regional section could be helpful in setting up local breaks and extreme groundwave contacts...it was mentioned before but for some reason it never happened.

We already have one for SHORTWAVE RADIOS / SCANNERS.
A CB'er and his money are soon parted.

Hi Shaft,

That's not really the same thing as was suggested by DX_Monkey. His suggestion includes much more than scanning and shortwave.

We have already had a Ham forum before. It didnt really go over very well. Too many problems and too much flaming. Became a battle with hams against CBers. We decided that we are a CB forum not a ham, GMRS, MRUS, FRS, Marine or any other radio forum. You are welcome to post in the general discussion section or the misc section on these topics.

And on the Regional Section idea. We might consider something like a Local Events forum but to open a forum for each state/region/city is just too much.

I've tried the weather topic and no one was interested . It would be a waste of time and energy to keep track of all that info .

That's about as fair as you can get.
