Got an amp recapped and new diodes but at idle no transmit it shorts the diodes on the pos side of rectifier circuit there is a new an old i used 1500volt 1a diodes can any one confirm that? also if any one has a complete SM for it that would be great .. P.S. not the cbtricks one

Seems to do it when i switch the transmit standby switch to stanby

I believe they are suppose to be 2A 1KV diodes, that is if it hasn't been messed with over the years, make sure they are installed in the right direction from the standby switch. Does have one driver (6JG6) and three finals (6LQ6's)?

yes it does tube wise.. when i got it the diodes were blown apart i used the specs off the parts list in the pdf from cb tricks one of the other diodes not in the rect was PC dm16

I swapped the HER108's out to 1N4006's and it does not short out on change to standby now
The 1n4006 is rated Peak Surge Current 50A her108 35A might of been the difference
