anyone have schematic for 16-pill x-foce amp have problem regarding keying section being burned will fix myself dont know what parts where there or orientation, thanks mike

There are no schematics for these things. I didn't watch this whole video and do not agree with everything this guy says but it will get you going. For a 16 pill I'd use a 5pf or smaller cap where he uses a 10pf ceramic. There was some detail on keying circuits on those free amp plans that were floating around several years ago.

you might look at the sweet 16 amps and see how close they are. more than one version on cbtricks to compare.

I have used a 10pf and it works fine. I usually use 10pf on everything up to a 16. After that I change entire keying circuit to something else.

I've saw amps from the local radio tech done like that. He doesn't use a 2n2222 on anything. I don't like the idea of hot switching a relay with much current involved but most guys are against a foot pedal. I don't know how I ever made it without one. I use a dual stage clipper 636s to sequence the radio and amp. Juggling 2 pedals or a pedal and mic button is a pain...especially after a few drinks.

Agreed. But I have a local here running a mobile 64. No foot pedal in the suburban.
