This radio will be my next mobile. I've been looking at and it seems to have it all covered and I wondered if anyone has used it yet. If anyone on the forum has some time on this radio, please chime in.

Looks just like the Optima and Magnum 257.

Yep same chassis as 257 and optima, but better step, shows 6digit frequency and channel at same time, continuous vfo. I watched all of the videos on you tube. I like the color options. Thanks for the feedback guys.

They are a fairly new radio, started making it in 2011, spec's don't say how many versions there are. I like the 6th digit too but if you unlock the clarifier it doesn't track, you have to use the VFO and shift. Tuned up it will do 10w on AM/FM and 25w on SSB. I would buy it if one came available here.

3.

First: Smoking voltage regulator if you turn the radio down, PWR-Dial only usefull in a tiny turn
Second: Updatet voltage regulator, some minor changes, better working PWR-Dial
Third: Added sound compressor, some minor changes, now with nearly linear PWR-Dial for the full Poti.

It is.

It would be the best radio i ever used... BUT the Firmware is BLOCKING the Channelselector if you use the Channel-Mode and press the "FRQ"-Key to see on what frequenzie you are! You can only switch channels as long as the display shows a Channelnumber.
Ever tried to remember 400 freely programmable frequenzies in Banks from A-J/1-40?
Wouldnt you think that the frequency is more important as the place where it is stored?
The six extra Memory-Channels can show the frequenzie and can be dialed.
Importers are not interessted in changing this and the chinese even tells me theyll leave it as is.
