single pin mic jack

Post by crazydiamond »

Hi all, I was thinking of buying this radio. It looks like a single pin stock mic. I've wired a lot of 4-5 and 6 pin mics but never a single pin. Is it possible to wire up say a D104 lollypop or a turner SS to a single pin radio.? Thx for any help...Steve D.

It's easier then a 4,5 or 6 pin with that type of plug that means the radio is using relay switching and you only need to connect three wires to the plug audio, ground and a wire to switch the relay to ground which either the D-104 or Sidekick is capable of all you need is a 1/4 inch stereo phone plug.
