So proud to build this little radio and get a feeling of accomplishment, I would prolly build another if they still sold 'em.
Anyway I saw a mod to convert from an RCA antenna jack to a PL259 and went for it. The thinking here was that the rca is mounted to the circuit board with no support so to reduce stress the 259 will mount to the back. Well overly long story short after mod I have now lost the audio to the speaker but not the headphone jack. I'll update someday but right now CB stuff keeps me busy. If anyone is interested I can post schematics.
