Help with mounting Monkey Made MM9

#200776

Post by fugitive »

I want to mount my MM-9 on a 3/8 inch thick surface. Where can I find a mount with a stud longer enough to penetrate this surface and provide insulation against grounding out the antenna? I also would like for it to have a larger upper portion to provide additional stability to the antenna at the base. I saw a pick up in a Walmart parking lot with a large mount nut at the base of the antenna. It was also mounted to a thick surface. I waited for the person for about 30 minutes but they never came out. Any suggestions?

Thanks fellas for the repsonses. I see some nice mounts that I believe will do the job for sure. I think I will try a couple different ones. Thanks again. The Fugitive "on the run in the big Bam"

Not entirely true. If it's something that one of our sponsors doesn't offer, then post away. We just don't want a conflict of interest wtih our advertising partners.
