I am looking for a good used scope for a reasonable price. I was also wondering are the one that you use your computer any good its a box that hooks to the USB port of your computer. I need one so I can start doing alignments

That 20 mhz scope should work fine if you're just looking to monitor modulation.

I'm not going to say it will work for every step in every service manual but I don't think you'll have any issues.

You will need to make or buy some type of sampler to get it to read the signal, like 543 said it will be fine to see your modulation which is a start in learning to do alignments. Here is what a test bench should have, this is from RCI's website,

They call the sampler a coupler. Get all that and I'll be down to have my radios worked on.

I make a nice sampler with counter output an adjustable audio out along with am demod and signal out and i have a few 100MHz scopes if your interested
