Galaxy DX95T2 help

#382139

Post by badfastbusa »

Took DX95T2 to a radio Tech which is 2hrs away from me to have it looked over and have a couple of problems addressed and he took care of all of the issues I was having, including the talkback being so loud even with the switch on low that it would feed back through the 636 astatic mic, he turned the talkback down and it was perfect in the shop, but now that it's in the truck, it is to quiet even on high. Could someone tell me which pot to adjust to turn the volume for it back up just a touch?

Not sure there is one on that radio...tech probably just added a resistor.

That is exactly what he did, the only way to increase it's volume now would be to change the value of the resistor. It would be located on the solder side of the board at the audio section, probably a 470K 1/8w resistor, replace it with a 380K or lower but dropping the resistance too low will just put you back to where you had the problem in the first place.
