My spot is used to be 37 lsb and 34 am with a few locals but I am the only one left in the group with a radio setup so I am solo. I need to figure out a new channel or two to talk on now.

Used to run 22 into Missouri, 23 LSB for skip, now it's 10 for local trucks, 14 call in for the ethanol plant, 17, 18, 19 for the rigs on the highway. Most of the local mudducks are gone.

Back in the day(1980's-to the early 1990's)we had a group of people who used ch.37lsb in this area and that was it . But now that group has moved, quit or died so now I hang-out on 19 to listen and when the band is open I'll moved to 38lsb (27.385). :drunken: :aaargh:

When I was starting out in the mid to late 60's I was on ch 11am and ch 16lsb. The truckers were on ch 10am. I was also a React member (remember them) on ch 9am. Now I use ch 19am talking to the truckers when I'm out, ch 23am and ch 38lsb are now my home channels.

Here in Mc Kenzie, TN, there's a few of us that talk on 14 AM most nights. When 14 gets crouded up they usually go to 14 on the low side. I can't get down that far with my current setup though. My wife and I talk back and forth on any channel that doesn't have much traffic on it, which changes day by day when skip is good (or bad, depending on perspective at the current time). I usually try to use 1 to 4 but them guys on channel 6 bleed over four to six channels in each direction at times and force me to use channels 32 to 40 for communication with her when I'm out running errands, which then I'm picking up a lot of spanish. I should of studied it better in school than I did but it was hard to concentrate when the teacher was in the room. :icon_e_wink:

Channel 35 AM and 38 LSB. Central Missouri. Other than that not much other traffic other than some of the workers on Whiteman AFB who run on channel 4 AM and the occasional passing thru trucker on channel 19.
