Connex 3400HP 2015 version 11m mod needed
I have a Brand new 3400hp. I went to CB Tricks to get the 11m mod. But my radio is different. The CBT mod uses a 6 pin module and Short out JP3.
Well on my new version I only have a 5 pin module and no JP3 on the board. The board number is EPTCX3421A
Has any one done the new board conversion? If so can you help me?

Hello wagon 390,
Welcome to the forum. There should be a 5 pin conversion adapter come with the radio. If you look in at the small board at the channel sector you will see a black JP with 5 pins along the chassis, that one is not used. If you look over toward the other side of the board there is a brown 5 pin JP hidden under a harness of wires, the conversion adapter plugs in there.
As a new member could you post an intro in the "Welcome to the Forum" topic, http://www.cbradiotalk.com/viewforum.php?f=89 , so others can say "Hi", thanks.

Thanks sonoma, I remember digging up the info on this topic a year or so ago. BTW the search here is working again if you go looking for something.

the search on cbtricks has not worked properly for the last year. you can search for a item you know is there and all you get is a blank page.

Thanks for the help. I plugged the module in to the 5 pin plug just after post.. DUH .. I should have done that before posting.
I found that on this radio you have to leave the module plugged in as well. Or it will go back to 10m YUK!
Also the module is nothing but a resistor jumping 2 of the 5 wires..
Thanks MDY 390 out

No problem, always glad to help. Yes that is all those modules are, some it's a resistor and cap. I think they have a piece of velcro on the side to stick it to, yes it has to stay. Watch out turning the power and modulation up in the radio, it will interfer with the talkback, here is the ongoing topic on that,
