Audio injection on a cobra 29

I want to inject audio from my iPad into a cobra 29. I was wondering if I could unhook the audio wire from the mic connector and run it to say one of the audio pins to bypass the audio section of the radio. I want to have a distinct sound like hifi or pro audio I am trying to find some help on how to modify and do this to my cobra 29

Could someone please tell me the mod to do to a cobra 29 to direct inject audio into it. Also a mod to increase the audio frequency response

Not sure what you have but a 29LX would be injected through a 2.2uF cap to side of C37 where it meets with R48. if you get feedback on RX you will need to make C37 a higher value.

RX
Change C33 and C40 to 2.2uF non-polarized
Remove C204 for more highs some raidos dont have it

TX
Change C69 to a .001uF disc
Change C68 to a 1uF Tantalum
Change C37 to a .068uF mylar


Newer Cobra 29LTD TDA2003 IC

RX
Remove C170
Change C33 and C40 to 2.2uF non-polarized

TX
Change C68 to a 1.5uF tantalum + side towards the right side of the radio. Audio IC side
Change C69 and C125 to .001uF disc
Change C37 and C43 to .1uF mylar

Yeah I know what you mean I don't get much time to get on here as I should . When I get in a jam on something I am trying to do I come here for help maybe that has made people mad because I only post when I need help but Sorry I just don't get much time to get on the internet I do most of this while I am at work between my delivery's. And it's not easy trying to read all this on my phone but when I get home I have kids so I can forget getting on the computer and my wife works at nights. So maybe this will explain why I don't get on here much just when I need help.bad and then it's hard to do this time of year is busy delivering propane .

the items you are asking very few have an idea about this type of mod. i know I do not have any idea what you are wanting so some one else will have to chime in. I have never wanted to do some of the things you are wanting here lately. so no just not answering you. just have no idea what you want to do.

That's cool Sonoma no problem I am running a studio Mike and EQ through the radio and I just needed to know where to inject the audio and C37 was correct and everyone said my audio was very distinct sounding. I stayed up late last night and got it all done it works very well.

I do have one issue on the cobra 29 it squeals like crazy when receiving but when I key up no problem. Why dose it squeal while receiving

That's OK SORRY I see where I need to change the value of the cap.
