see if thid works on yours. it says all 29 radios. just see.

if you look at the schematic for the 29lx it shows VR6 for adjustments. if that does not do it you could clip the feed to it. just look at the lower left side of the schematic, it has it all there.

That's a good deal! Just better be sure everything's hunky-dory with the antenna and it's just either a faulty warning, or has something to do with just having a low DK or running a box.

Just curious but did you try adjusting VR6 before clipping the diode?

No to be honest I hate that Antenna Warning feature so I said the heck with it I would just do away with it all together.

There is two things I hate on some radios is the antenna warning light and that sound tracker crap

Turning the VR all the way down would have done the same thing and you wouldn't have needed to clip the diode. I usually stick a blank mailing label on the inside cover writing down what has been done to the radio, eliminates confusion later. I agree I don't personally need either but it's a good thing for the average CB'er.

Yeah your right . And that's a great idea to write down what has been done to the radio of other people radio I work on. As far as my own I pretty much remember and if I do some new mods I haven't done before then yeah I do write down the info in a book Incase I do it again. I did the direct injection mod on this new cobra 29 LX and man does it sound good I have had people this weekend ask what in the world are you talking on made me feel like a really accomplished something I have been trying to do for a while now.
