im truely am, this weekend i went down to maryland with my mom to pick up my grandma, but my mom has no radio in her mini van so i grabed my 2 watt walkie talkie for the trip down. now i figured a truck or two would hear me on it but no, not even when we pulled into the rest area. but it figures no one could hear me cause there was alot of non stop skip during the whole trip, next time i go ill be with my wife and ill have my mobile to talk on n not my mud duck walkie...Dj

well a nother day n another dollar well spent,i play a good night of pool, i put the eight ball in 4 times last night and i still feel good, maybe im hang over alittle bit, but the weekend has been better than the week, im starting to make more contacts with the CBRT members then before, i need to buy a new logbook to fill up, the last 2 months have been great as for as DX'ing goes, this sunday im going flea marketing at Hazen i hope to find some radios n other radio stuff....Dj

well me n my wife to a ride to hazen and leeper yesterday and i got another wilson 1000 magmount to add to my collection and a cobra 19 plus, today is my wife n i 's 14 year wedding annavarsity, where has the time gone???

well its the middle of the week, and i finally got a new line of coax put onto my rci 2995dx, i played with the rings and finally the swr's drop when we put them all the way down, i know that ya supposed to move the a 1/4 and we did that up n down, but for some reason all the way down the swr would finally drop, so now all i got left to do is raise the antenna up 10 to 20 feet up, right now itz only 3 feet above the peak of my roof, but overall, i can actully hear the local folks now, from before all i got was static from most of the folks but now i can hear them and i can run my power if needed, but i just keep it between 6 to 8 watts, but now if i need to i can push what this radio has to offer which anit that much, all we get is 30 watts total, i think im gonna take it in too to see why its so low on wattage when it should do 50 watts, i also heard too that this model can do 200 watts on am but i think that would fry the final in it, i think that that 200 watters replace the final to get that much wattage out of this radio but who knows, im just glad im able to get my swr's back to normal, from 2 to 3, that sucks, im at 1.5 on full max, and at 1.3 on my normal settings, well HAPPY DX'ING GONNA FLY...dJ

well, i hope eveybody is having a better week than i am, i just hope i dont end up in the county jail by the end of this weekend,
well monday morning the neibors woke up my wife from fighting n partying all night long, the copz were there to put a small end to there party but that didnt work, im getting real tired of there **Censored**, i have nothing against having a few cold ones now n then but going overboard with it is another thing, since the cops wont do nothing about the bs, i might, i just need to hold on to my sence of humor for the rest of this weekend if not, ill talk with all ya when i get back from hell, well enough of my ranting and stuff, its time to enjoy the weekend on a positive note, Happy DX'ing n enjoy your weekend when ya get to it,,,Dj

well, im feeling less stress, i got my taxes paid up on my house so i dont lose it to Tax-Sale, hope all is good for the rest of ya, although im gonna be broke for the next two weeks, i dont even care either, sorry for all the rant from me latley just been a little stressed out but things are starting to look up for the better now, unless a new tax comes up that i dont know about,,,LOL, well Happy DX'ing...Dj

umm, the weekends here, and im another year younger

i got to play with a very old mobile which i thought i would never see again, it called the Galaxy Saturn II, 2 !/2 watts on low, 8 watts on full power, and its got a heck of a swing to it, as i was down in my dongeon playing around with it, i discovered that my 1k has a coax problem, so now ill have to go take it and get a new line for it, i think a racoon or a possum got up onto my basement and thouhgt it was food, or it could of been one of the black squirrels that poke around here too, but even with the bite wounds, i still had a low swr reading, but i think in time it will be come a real problem, plus the rain dont help either...Dj
