Texas Star 250HDV.

Had it connected to my base, but didn't need it.

Gonna put it in the mobile and see what it can do.

I have 2 old amps the one i use mostly is a Lafayette HA-270 with the Lafayette power supply to run it in the house, it does just under 100 PEP on sideband and about 50 to 60 on AM. I also have an old Polmar base amp with 5 8950 tubes in it, output depends on much I drive it with I've seen it do over 500 on sideband

Antennas are a variety of 55 built, home brew and a few others.

I run... well all of it is below already in my signature. But I do have a klv550. I hook it up from time to time. I looked on the net to get spec's for it and whatnot couldnt find any info on it. when the klv550 is hooked up the fans are pretty loud in it. I can hear it in the other room. thats why I dont run it much. I like my fatboy1500. and no its not a person, just a amp. lol.

I run a RF-110A military amplifier, driver is pair of 8122s and final is a pair of 4CX1500Bs. The unit on the bottom of the rack is the power supply RF-124 for the RF110A which weighs over 200lbs.
You can drive this amp to full power with a signal generator only requires 100MW of drive. I found the RF-110A on ebay, a surplus electronics dealer was selling it, I could see the finals from the listing photos.... got it for $260 plus freight. I took a chance I figured that I could at least recoup my money selling the tubes. To my surprise it showed up complete with all the tubes and had been run less than 1100 hours as read on the elapse time meter. You just don't know what will show up on ebay!

Wait a minute. This is an OLD topic, but timeless. Did you say Stargunn? Tell us more. I've often thought their quality looked awesome but questioned the design. Their beam is a joke but I'd love to hear from you if you're having good luck with their stuff. I looked up the Jammer and just saw pics, kinda looks like a coil loaded 10k style with some radials for more loading or something. If you can offer a good review or shed some light on them, please start a new topic as many would be curious. Thanks and have a great weekend.

ok i will try to start a new topic but just to throw it out there, i have ran many diff antennas in my day. and i know alot of people will chop my head off about this but.. I LOVE IT.. it is one of the best antennas i have ever ranthe recive is amazing the tx is great. i do run 1200 watts rated avg out of it and its tx is far superior to most ant i have ran. wilsons 10k was good but i would love to pin it up against one in a even clean shootout. yes it was very hard to match, and my buddys was even harder to match, but we both did get 1.1 to 1.2 on three diff meters ratshack dosy and bird.. the little directional piece does help a little to throw a little more tx in the forward direction do to the theroy i think that it pulls some of the rf field down toarwd the roof top of the truck insted of evenlly around omni..but i would not really say (Directioal).. the jammer is not the beam, i have my concerns about his beam, but the jammer is real quality with quality metarials i feel. i dont really like his hocky puck mount though, but the ant is great. i would recomend it to anyone who has a little knolage about ant theroy and use.. not for any amatures though, as long as you can get him to answer the phone and actually ship your order.. but well worth the wait.. ny 221 northeast cornrer, feel free to copy and paste this to start a new topic if possable, thanks catch ya on the bowl ch 6
