Mty Pocketz, traveling the nation......

Post by mty pocketz »

As some of you know, I'm a dirty no-good truck driver. Since some of you have questioned where my loads are taking me across this land, it was suggested that I start a post/journal here.

Well, today made day one of being a driver-trainer. Gary, Indiana to Effingham , Illinois and I'm still alive. In the morning, we're heading to Hopkinsville, Kentucky and then having to shut down til about midnite, waiting for fresh hours. Thank you DOT for all of your hundreds of regulations that keep us and the motoring public safe.

For all of you out there travelling or hauling goods, keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down. They call me Mty Pocketz and I'm trucking for Obama!

LOL, Claude Akins played a character named Sonny Pruitt on the television show "Movin' On". Frank Converse played his co-driver Will Chandler. Good to see the post, now if I could figure out how to move some of the others to here.

If you head to the Left (West) Coast let us know.

Buddy of mine is a long haul trucker and the regulations you guys have to abide by can be a pain. Drive safe.

The boring life of a trucker..... had limited hours today and made our drop in KY. Set our availability for midnite and the only load they offered doesn't pick up til Monday at 1300, but its going in the right direction so I cant turn it down. I guess a lot of places are actually closed for Easter. Monday, we'll be heading to Mount Juliet TN from around Fort Campbell, then heading to Craplanta.

Monday, 21 April 2014, 21:13 PM

Made it down to GA today. Picking up in ATL and heading towards swamp-east GA for a little home time. Maybe I'll catch some of y'all on the way back out, later in the week.

Friday, 25 April 2014, 9:41 AM

Today, South GA to Charleston, SC and then heading to Indiana. I'll be heading thru Silvereagle1's area along the way. Riding in the passenger seat and trying to keep my sanity....

Sunday, 27 April 2014, 19:34 PM

Made it to Indianapolis area yesterday and made a drop, only to have to wait around all day today for a load offer. Finally got one, picking up in Indy tomorrow and heading to Arkansas, a little south of Joplin, Mo. Hopefully the weather wont be too bad.

If anybody is along that route, let me know and we'll try and make a contact.

Missed crossing paths with Silvereagle1 by a matter of a few minutes yesterday morning. One day...

Wednesday, 30 April 2014, 13:18 PM

Picked up yesterday in Jenks, OK and heading to Phoenix tonite. Didn't think about until after i was a bit away, but i went thru and stopped in Bombero's neighborhood earlier today.

Maybe, if I'm Lucky, I may get a new truck while at our company headquarters. But, then I'll have to reading my antenna or go back stock
