He might be thinking swr means signal while receiving. Therefore low would be correct. Smoke on the water... fire in the sky....

low swr on a tv antenna,,say it aint so,,say it aint so...why did i spend 200 on my beam whin i could have used my tv antenna... why do i do this to myself...

Hell, maybe I'll upgrade from my homemade Yagi made from PVC pipe and 1" measuring tape!

I'm sure it (converting a TV antenna)could be done but it would require far more math and modifications than would be practical. BTW, I did actually build a Yagi style from PVC and measuring tape for dog tracking 160-225MHz that works great (receive only!) I was able to pickup and get an accurate bearing of an emitter more than 50 miles away( local weather broadcast).

swr(standing wave ratio) for your info........it was reading 1.5...well I'm running dual i also am running a dome mount antenna on the top of the pole for dual antennas.....

He must be using a 50ft extension cord for feedline that's
the only way you can get your swr's down on a tv antenna.

I was taking up for the little feller at the start of this thread, but now I am thinking that I am getting the distinct odor of BULLS@*T!
My exact thoughts...this guy is pulling everyones leg....People get Banned around here for less! :wink:
