Tonight the skip is rolling the best I have heard it in close to a year out here in the Rockies. I jumped in the mobile after work, turned on the radio and the noise on 19 was a mess. I went to the "bowl" and it was hammering. I called out on Ch. 28 am and made contact with my barefoot Grant. Although he didn't call my name I know he was talking to me. He got on the maul as soon as I let up and said we heard ya in the Rockies... There was no mistake it was me but I didn't get his name or numbers. Conditions were rough and alot of people were out there. I said self, this is it. Time to barefoot it and see what ya got. I headed up to a great overlook of the city that is wide open to the East as far as you can see. I found a spot along side the road to park and went to 38 LSB. What a blast. My barefoot Grant was kicking butt with that 102 hammer stick I put on. I talked to 045 in Michigan, 148 Tennessee, 117 Cleveland OH, and I heard many others calling me but there were so many of them I couldn't pull all of them out clearly. 148 said my Grant was smokin' in Tennessee. That makes me happy and what a SSB talker that old Grant is. I am loving it. It's been so long since I talked skip I forgot how fun it is. Time to get that amp in and kick some major butt. Honestly though, with as many people calling back to my Grant and having good conversations, not just a call back and that's it, I can take my time and get the amp all done up right.
And 555 Bighorn, if you read this, I could hear ya cotton **Censored**'. 28 AM and you were sounding choice.

Man,,, I would go back out and up on top of the mountain side but some off frequency over driven 2 pill junker came up on the same mountain I was on earlier. He irritates me and I would be tempted to push him and his 2 pill mobile over the edge of the mountain if he was still up there. I need to get a 4 pill and blow him away once and for all.
