I ordered a couple of RG-8x jumpers from him, a 3' and a 6', a couple of weeks ago. When I got them, the 3' was fine, but the ends on the 6' one were not soldered too well. There was still copper shielding showing, and some bad heat marks and messy solder on one end. I tested them for shorts and continuity and it looked fine. But as soon as I keyed up with the 6' in line, it lost connection. Now when I check it for shorts, it shows as being shorted. Only a 100W deadkey or so with my amp on, so I guess the thing was in bad shape.
Anyway, I called Sparky about it today and he told me he would make me a 6' jumper himself and send it off ASAP and to just keep the old one. I did tell him that I was a CBRT member, but I don't know if that mattered in this case at all. He seemed like an honest hard-working guy who stands behind the products coming out of his shop. I just wanted to pass my positive experience on to all of you as well.
Sparky gets an A+++++++++++++++++++ in my book.
Sparky's a really great guy!
