How do you tell the amperage on a power supply if it doesn't say on the case?
I've got one that was used to power a company radio at the plant I used to work at.
(this is probably where those ohms and watts come in huh?) lol
Anyway, I'd like the option of bringing the Cobra 200 in the house during my slack time and wondered if the power supply will be enough to run it wide open.
How do you tell..........
Ifin you have a meter, measure the voltage. At least you know one end of the triangle. Ifin you have an amp meter you can find out another end.
If all ya got is a volt meter, if the voltage is good, hook the radio up and see if the lights flicker when you key up. ( Red neck test method. BWGA Approved )
