Help me choose a new base radio

Hello, give me some feed back on a new base for myself. Christmas gift to me haha. Looking at a Galaxy 2517. Which sponsor should I buy from? Or maybe someone out there has one. Oh I do not want a ham hf rig, got too many of those now I want strictly a Cb base. Thanks!

Galaxy 98VHP with a conversion would make one heck of a base station. Thats what im hoping to get myself for Christmas.

How much would a rci 2990 be worth

A good used rci 2990 your looking at about 250 and up. New they can run a couple of hundred more.

I got a friend wanting 350 for one, its in good shape he said it does around 175 watts.

I have a RCI-2995 SWP from RAR, make me an offer. Awsome radio when working but I have had nothing but trouble out of it. it is currently not TXing now. Maybe I will send it back to RAR and they can just ship it right to you when it is repaired. My other base radios perform flawlessly on the exact same antenna system, Galaxy 2547, Yaesu 101E, Cobra 2000 GTL, Cobra 135.
