Do you care to share how you got the boom mic, computer, and cb connected? I am sure I can get a signal to my sound card and back to the radio with no problem but, not sure if there is any software you use to modify the frequency bandwidth \ decibels before its injected to the radio. Also do you have an impedance issues that you had to overcome?

i just havested a momentary switch power switch from a old computer case, wired it up as a stock cb mic would be, execpt the white wire, wired a 3.5mm plug to the white wire of the mic input of the cb, ran that one from the LINE OUT of my sound card. used a high grade head set mic and ran that into the sound cards mic input, adjusted and fine tuned with both modulation meter and second cb radio. after all was good, downloaded and install winamp, downloaded the "line-in" plug in, and then downloaded some DSP'S such as echo, flanger all them good things, and away i went :P , now there will be a tiny bit of delay between ur voice and the transmitting aspect of it, so if your like me at all and get all fooled up trying to talk and hearing a delay, u might want to forget the talk back feature all together :P , how ever if u can find a momentary switch that will also cover the tx/dx but one u can also wire the mic up to, i have found out that in dx mode the cb and mic can produce feed back (unless this is just some radios)
