I have had terrible conditions in northeast Indiana since last Sunday. What the heck is going on with the atmosphere?

E-skip season is over and the Solar Flux and Sunspot numbers are low for propagation on 11 meters.

Yeah I have noticed that as well but I cannot talk to the guys in our club that are 30-50 miles away, I can make contact with LA and FL. Last Sunday night at club check in I strugled to here members that are almost always loud and proud at my station.
I don't think that it is an equipment issue because it seems to be the same regaurdless of what radio I use.

Today & tonight I am hearing stations that I never here Colorado, Wyoming, California and even San Juan Porto Rico. Something is for sure going on , but what sucks is that I am having no success at being able to DX with them.

Antenna and coax seem to be good, no change there and swr is good. I am talking good on AM but for whatever reason LSB stinks.

I noticed it was a bad week for 11m SSB here as well. I live in South Eastern Illinois and thus not terribly far from your area.

Same up there in Quebec, Canada.

Last DX contact for me on the 8th of July.

Since, nothing...Some pale signal overnight, but not strong enough to make contact.

But local is good. And I've find new friends.

Wow,

after eight days full of nothing, I received my new radio yesterday: RangerRCI 2995DX.

But again, skip was low, waving, nothing impressive. But....

Three guys in Winnipeg, 2 in Nova SCotia, Ohio and Wisconsin. And local people telling that I was soundin so good.

The sun shines again.

625 Quebec Canada said that. And I'm back quiet.

The conditions will return for skip eventually. It's a waiting game for conidtions to return sometimes.
