How can I raise my deadkey a little more? ( Cobra 29 LTD)
Have a 29 LTD with the 2540 final that I only get around 2.5 watts dead key and was hoping to bump it up a little more to get some more swing. I have done the 4.7K resistor between pin 1 on the final & C116, tried capacitors on C59 & R55 and it seems to like R55 more. I've heard a few mention turning up L12 but mine doesnt have an adjustment screw in it, just a copper coil. Anyone have any suggestions?

I put a 100pf cap on the back of C62. Now I've got 4.5W carrier but on my Dosy PM 1000 meter when I set the modulation I can turn the calibrate know all the way to "Max" and instead of swinging all the way to "Mod Set" it will only go to about 32%. Vr4 is cranked all the way up, I put the diode back in D11 but soldered in a resistor on the cathode side, Its supposed to increase the tuning range of VR4 but I didnt really seem to make a difference.wild_card wrote:Good deal What did you adjust to get the results ?
