COURIER CENTURION PLL 40ch ssb
Hi, Was wanting to know the best way to put in a variable dead key and a swing kit mod for this radio. Courier Centurion Pll 40ch ssb. Any info will help me greatly. Thanks

The anti-spiking diode in the centurion is D-65
Another connection point that can be used and give better results is to cut the trace between L11 and VR17 connect the #4 wire to the L11 side of the trace and the #3 wire to VR17 side of the trace.
You can get the parts for the swing kit at radioshack
TIP-120 part# 276-2068 you can also use a TIP-31 #276-2017 or TIP-3055 #276-2020
100uf capacitor part #272-1028 or use a 220uf #272-1029.
Turn the dk up all the way on AM before switching to SSB or it will reduce the output when using that mode.
