Peak a Cobra 25LTD Classic

Does anyone know what pots to turn to peak a Cobra 25 LTD Classic. I just wanna get more bangs for the fewest bucks.

AMC is adio modulation control correct? or is it AM Modulation control.

alright thanks i really appreciate your help. one other question can i tune it using a metal screw driver or kex head or do i have to use plastic tools?

All tuning work inside radio should be done with these plastic tools, but you can use a screwdriver if you are very careful and not touching other parts. But don't use metal hex tools on that coil slugs, only plastic tools here.

i think they vary slightly depending on the model. the weather model would have a different board for the weather alert function and all.

your radio looks exactly like mine inside. i hate how they put all that wax all over the two important slugs to turn!!! now i cant seem to find any of the voltage regulators

On my radio there was only L10 who had wax. L8 was adjusted by making it a little longer, or shorter.

yeah l10 has wax on it. and l8 is just a coil there. i think i will leave l8 alone also looked the radio up l9 can also be adjusted but i think the only reason they gave any kind of power increase is because they are the harmonic frequency limiters.

How is your deadkey? Mine is 4 watt after tune up.

if my meter is reading righ without a tune up its keying 4 watt dead key 15 watt swing

A lot of swing. What mike do you have?

just the stock cobra mike nothing super special. dynamike turned all the way up.

I also have stock mike, but on my wattmeter I read only swing up to 5 watt. But on meter on the radio it swing from 4 watt and up to max, so I don't trust my wattmeter. It's pretty old.
