COBRA 29 ,ECHO BOARD AND ROGER BEEP
WHATS UP ALL? i have a little problem im sure you CB gurus can answer. i have installed echo boards and roger beep boards by them selves before but never both together. so i have a rf limited trb-x3 echo board which wires in the same way as the X2 board and the roger beep board is a workman 5 tone.i followed the instructions and installed the roger beep board successfully with no problems ,all is well with it. then i wired in the echo board but i am kinda stumped with one part of the instructions.the echo board instructions say to solder 2 of the wires to the PTT pin "or transmit pin" on the microphone jack.NOW...the instructions for the workman roger beep board said to remove the wire from the mic jacks transmit pin and solder it to a wire that runs to the board and solder another wire coming from the board onto the pin and thats what i did to install the roger beep board.so i just soldered the 2 wires the instructions for the echo board to the transmit pin also.SO my problem is when i power on the echo board the audio sounds crappy with feedback and is really not understandable.does someone know if im wiring this up wrong, im sure theres something im not getting and would appreciate the help....thanks!
