Uniden Madison Dead Key Power Mod

#321450

Post by walkman »

Hello Everyone

Ok I need some clarification.... I need to reduce the A.M. dead key power on my Uniden Madison from the current 6 watts to 2 watts. My radio is the Digital Clock version which I believe is the fourth and final generation. I read somewhere I needed to turn VR6, but when I turned it the power did not go down..... THEN I read its VR10......

#1 Can someone verify which VR it is
#2 IF I turned the wrong VR - what does VR6 do ?

Uh sorry to say that reads like Chinese algebra to me.

My search shows VR10 is for AM carrier adjustment.

Not so hard to read. top line has function.....next two lines are the radio and locations. I couldn't paste the link...so I did a copy and paste.

They don't line up very well in my opinion. A little tweaking would make it much easier to read is all I was getting at.

Probably so....messed with it a bit and had other things going on. I looked at it and I could read it.....but I was the one that posted it so stands to reason I knew what was going on. LOL At any rate....such is life.

OK....this is the best I can copy and paste from my notepad. The spaces aren't properly represented this way....but it doesn't take rocket science to figure out the table.
