Another "My First DX!"
I finally got my first SSB skip today...I was so excited I forgot the gent's number, but I was able to get to Fort Worth, TX from Spokane - barefoot! Guess my new DX-979 and 3' fiberglass Wilson are working pretty good!! This is fun!!!

I have a barefoot Galaxy DX979 with 4ft Firestik antenna also. Made it to Connecticut from Kentucky on SSB one day. Congrats on your first DX contact Wheelerdude.

Awesome!!! I keep a pen and note pad by my radio at all times. I have to write down the call numbers to remember them. Sometimes there will be several calling back...I try to write down all their numbers and make contact with each of them real quick. It's crazy how Mother Nature works!!!
