Trc-444 no audio
I have a trc-444 here that appears to be working unevery way but being able to hear audio, it transmits audio to other radios, the signal meter jumps when others talk, but no sound comes out the speaker, same thing when using an external speaker, and there is no sound in PA mode, i have tried a few different mics and im not sure where to look on this thing, everything appears good to the naked eye, no obvious faults

I just took a quick look on CBTricks and they don't seem to have a schematic for the 444. The good news is that, you say it transmits with audio to another radio. If that is true I would have to believe that MOST of the audio circuitry is alive and kicking because most of the time, the same audio amp drives your AM modulation as is used to output the received audio. If if doesn't work for either internal speaker or headphone... check and see if that model has a PA output and test that to see if it works. There is usually switching wiring installed on the external jack such that the speaker is connected if nothing it plugged in....but if you plug something in it disconnects the speaker and connects the external speaker. The PA usually doesn't have that kind of wiring so it would at least be another data point.
That said, if you feel like you can, take the cover off, find the external speaker jack and have a look at the wiring to it. make sure nothing is broken off. Because of the switching action involved on that jack, the audio typically comes off of the PC board to the external speaker jack then a switched wire goes to the speaker. The bad news might be that the jack solders directly to the PC board so you won't be able to tell what is up quite so easily..
It is hard to go beyond this speculation, at least for me, without having the schizmo to look at. I hope this helps to guide you in the right direction.

Got her fixed, while looking at the ext jack and checking the solder side of the radio i found a broken cold solder where one of the mic wires met the board, after that she was all good
