Hello wb2izz,
Welcome to the forum. Open the speaker side cover and look at the back of the faceplate, you will see a group of six pins on the right side with an empty plug socket next to it, that's where it goes, make sure you plug it in in the right direction so it clips fast. Put the cover back on and your done. Don't touch anything of the pots, it's fine the way it is. If you are not sure about doing this please send it to me and I will gladly install it and send the radio right back to you ,,, in a couple of years ,,, lol, just kidding.
