Hey everyone, new to the forum. My name is Thomas and i'm in the military and have been for just over 13 years now as an air traffic controller. This seems to be the biggest CB forum that i could and and has a lot of information about a business i have been dealing with. Hopefully i'll hear some of you on the radio sometime.

Thanks Mark, glad to be here. I was big into the hobby back in the late 90's and recently got back into it a few years ago, unfortunately i have been without my radio for a little over a year and a half. I also have my ham license and miss those days of working the ham bands...although my morse is beyond rusty!

We love military folks here! No wait, we love any new member here! Welcome out. Glad you found us. Plenty info to get you off the ground, is that a pun??
So thanks for your continued service to the country, thanks for joining up, pls stay around. No question is too dumb on this forum, unless I say so. Ok???
Have fun! Enjoy the hobby, tell us a little about how long you have or have not been in to CB?

Ric Flair is on the Air, with Pink Underwear!!! WHAOOO!!!
Thank you for all the welcomes. I've loved the hobby ever since i got my first radio at the age of 13. It was a midland 76-300 base station and thought it was the big dog (i was 13 and it was my first so dont laugh!). Ended up pairing that with an antron 99 and a power pump tube amplifier with a desktop mic. Spent MANY nights talking skip through my teen years and thats what lead me to getting my ham license. I've had several cobra radios (all mobile's) throughout the years. Then came the military and between a crazy schedule and being oversea's or TDY so often i never really had time for it until recently. My most recent/current radio is a galaxy 959 but its been out for repair since march of last year with no end in sight.
But once all that situation gets straightened out i'll definitely be looking to pick up another mobile for the truck. Cant wait to get back on!
