Hey guys, just got a handheld today, a TRC-212 and I've run into a couple problems and had some questions. If anyone has a link to the manual for it that would also be very helpful. Well first off after cleaning the batter terminals or some caked up gunk, I put new ones in, and plugged it in, all I seem to get is either static on every channel, or some loud high pitched noises with a message on the display that says RF out, so I dont know what thats about. Also it came with a power supply, but its only 6w, so I dont know if that was what it ran on, or would it prefer a 12W wall adaptor like the other handhelds I have? Any help and info is always greatly appreciated, and again if anyone has a link to the manual so I could take a look, that would be great!

Also, one more thing. I see it has batteries, and they can be rechargable, but with the wall adaptor plugged in it still reminds me the batteries are low. Does this mean I need both the batteries and the wall adaptor for it to work its best? Or can it be one or the other. Thanks again guys!
Any experts on the Realistic TRC-212?

take a look at this manual and see if by chance it might be about the same radio. there are so many that you can use a differnt manual on.
