I have jumped around the other sites and i have to say this is the best deal going for radio chat and real deal info that some sites should be ashamed of them selves for the way they act and treat new members well ex members now lol. You all should give your selves a round of applause for making this the best damn friggin forums for this topic on the net!

Where's the like button? This is the only site I come to and feel completely comfortable letting my 13 year old daughter have an account here as well.

I know exactly what site you're talking about but a few more can be added. A bunch of know it alls that think they are better than anyone else because they have a high post count and a certain degree of knowledge in the bands other than 11 meter. If you ask a novice type question they treat you like crap then if you take up for yourself you get cussed and called names and made out to be the bad guy not to mention stupid because you're not on their level. My 5 post couldn't survive the beat down from a 5000 post senior know it all member lol. guess it's like that worldwide! :bounce: yep this is the only decent place to be. Atleast you can have a debate here and shake hands after the fact.

You're exactly right. I know pretty much every bad word there is to know so I'll just stay here. ;)

You can only be talking about "Mauldroppings" site... That site has not always been like that believe it or not...

That said, in that sites defense, before joining you should have known what go's on there just by reading some of the posts...If you didn't like what you were seeing, then you shouldn't have signed up to begin with...

...just saying.

Well really who expects a radio site to be like that and in no stretch of my imagination could I come up with a defense of them and lay it on another person just saying.

Ya I was there also. I thought I was back in the army. Anyway, all we are doing by discussing it is sending people to that sight who haven't been there before. Take my word for it, don't bother.

I have been a member on several forums for a while, some have disappeared because of membership or lack of, some like the one being referred to is going strong because of it's contain. I am not going to defend them but if you don't like swimming with sharks it is best to stay out of the water. All the forums I am on have good information to share, something not found on one is usually on another, no one says you have to participate in the nonsense.

i'm in the bar business and i see it like this, you have your home bar and the ones you stop in here and there. Theres a reason for the home bar, it's where you feel at home.

That site is not much different than what you might hear on a CB radio.

If that stuff came out of my cb i would run it over with the back tire of car then shovel it up and toss it in the trash can.

Your right, and I agree, which is why the radio always stayed turned off when the wife or kids were in the car...

However, my biggest complaint with the site, is the **Censored**-**Censored** stuff, and the way it always ends up in someones thread who is trying to get a answer to a radio related question...

They have a separate section for that kind of horse-play, but it always seems to make in into the general forum section anyway...

But hay, it's just a Internet Site...No one is forced to go there, or log in, so if you don't find the site is something you like...Then simply don't go back! Case Closed.

It takes a sticking to code of ethics but some freedom to make it fun and enjoyable and the knowledge to enforce the rules or bend them as warranted.... and CB Radio Talk IMO got it right. ~PeAcE~

I'm going to go ahead and lock this topic. It started out ok but then turned into bashing another site. Weather the said site is good or bad I dont want this to turn into a big bash session.
