Just purchased a dx 2547. What would be a good antenna.

Are you looking for quick and easy or a good performing antenna. Q & E would be a Imax 2000 or Antron 99A, a good performer would be the Maco 5/8V or the HyGain Penetrator SPT-500, it really depends on how deep your pocket is.

Google Lightning Quad Antenna's..........Mine is a Lightning L4 quad...47' up, and has dual polarity so you can switch from vertical to horizontal by using a switch box at the station...Uses two coax's to feed points on the antenna...If your only going to put up one antenna, the quads are your best bet....

The best antenna you could get would be any of them designed to work on 11 meters. After that it's mostly a matter of 'style', appearance, how much you wanna spend, and what's available near you (or just order something). If you are after the most bestest antenna there ever was... then you are SOL to start with, there are no such thingys. There are only antennas that work well in your particular circumstances.
