I have one, bought before Workman added their name to it, still in the box in the garage, never installed it. If yours is new read the instructions carefully, it is one of the few antennas that is dependent on the coax length as it's counterpoise. I don't know how well it will work on your truck, it does say it can be used in a mobile application. I would think it wouldn't survive well though as the wind load is always going to be over 60mph. SWR wise it is not a very wide banded antenna, adjusted for just the 40 channels, 19 being the lowest SWR, it goes over 2:1 on the ends of the band.

I never had one of those antennas.
I am using a end fed wire off ebay, and it works like a champ, if I hear them I can work them am or ssb.
swr 1 to 1 but I cheat I use an antenna tuner.

They work about as good a a 3 foot "no-groundplane" antenna sold for motor homes and boats and such. There's really no difference in using a 3 foot mobile NGP instead of one of these and both are about the same price. Biggest difference is mounting height usually, since they are now marketed as a "base" antenna. These were originally designed for motor homes and will handle highway speeds rather well, at least the original manufacturers model did, can't say for sure about the new models. I'll have to go with the masses here and suggest the dipole as a better alternative. I ran a dipole for quite awhile and talked all over the country as well as Australia and Europe with no issues. Horizontal for DX and Vert. for local.

My apologies for not answering the requests for more info on the cox choke above in the thread.
The accurate way to make the choke for 11 meters is actually 5 wraps of the coax around a non-conducting form, something like a 4" piece of white PVC tube. It can be made without the form, but the coils need to be side-by-side for the choke to work properly. The form makes this much easier. This choke does not lower SWR, it simply helps to control CMC (Common Mode Current), which contributes to bleed over in some cases.
That said, do not follow my advice to try a choke on this type of antenna. This antenna uses the coax to complete the antenna. It is intended that the coax radiate as a part of the antenna. Using a choke near the antenna could destroy any hope of a decent SWR, and reduce the performance radically.
