Looking for an antenna to cover both 10 /11 without a tuner. Any Suggestions ??? Can't be bumper mounted, can't seem to find a bumper mount that will fit my truck...

I use my 102" whip on both. I set my swr low on the regular 40 and it does ok on 10 meter.
Sometimes you feel like a duck....sometimes you dont.

Sirio 5000 will work. I've got two that I swap out. One is cut to match 10 meters and the other is matched for 11 meters. If I use just the one antenna that's tuned for 11 meters I get 1.2 on all 40 channels and get 2.0 on 10 meters at 28.500 and 1.6 at 28.300. If I use the "cut" whip I get 1.6 at 28.500 and 1.4 at 28.300 that's with it hard mounted.

Don't use the spring I used it just for testing the SWR to see how long of a riser I would have to make. If you have a cap use just the flat stock and make to the outside under the lip of the cap. Putting the antenna low on the vehicle your losing half the signal.

If you use one of those whip extenders for the 102" whip it makes them much more broad banded than a straight 102" and a whole lot easier to tune as well. They come in 1' and 3' models. The 3footer adds more bandwidth than the 1 foot.

Okay, how far up in the 10m band do you plan to go? If your just planning the upper "Freeband" frequencies then the 1000 or 5000 will be fine. If your talking the ham 10m then one end of the band or the other will suffer.

I am a ham, so 10 is more important to me than 11... I was hoping for an easy solution. If I could mount my Francis whip, I would be just fine... using a nice 2510 and miss having it in the truck.
