Moved recently. When the mast was brought down, the antenna came down harder, than I'd have liked. Is there a way to test that it's OK, before I mount it once again ? I may have fergotten things over the years.(HA HA HA HA)

I normally build the antenna on the ground and adjust the SWR before putting it in position. If you have a step ladder or a short section of mast will do. If it dropped like you said I’d try it before hand.

You could check for opens in the bottom two sections with a multi meter.
