Only thing I have read that it might not be as good on SSB as the RCI2950 is.
Now how to quantify that into exactly why its not as good, i dunno.
Some people have said its just "so-so" on SSB.
Is it frequency drift? transmit audio, receive performance? dunno.

Certainly the galaxy radios like the 93t have the best S-meters,
and are as good on AM as any general lee and the like.

The 93t is the right choice if you plan to use an external amplifier.
The 93t has a six-digit frequency display, where the other galaxies only have five-digit.

The only "cons" I can think of for mine are the front mounted mic as opposed to side mounting, and the "gold" colored mounting bracket that came with it.
Great radio, with predator 10k, best "ears" I've ever had!

I understand that some folks evidently had problems with Galaxy on ssb in the past but I have a brand new DX95T2 that has no problems with ssb at all. I believe they've fixed whatever was the problem although someone else here may have more info on what specifically was the deal there...
