Only thing I have read that it might not be as good on SSB as the RCI2950 is.Hardrive wrote:I ordered a dx93t today anyone give me pros and cons.
Now how to quantify that into exactly why its not as good, i dunno.
Some people have said its just "so-so" on SSB.
Is it frequency drift? transmit audio, receive performance? dunno.
Certainly the galaxy radios like the 93t have the best S-meters,
and are as good on AM as any general lee and the like.
The 93t is the right choice if you plan to use an external amplifier.
The 93t has a six-digit frequency display, where the other galaxies only have five-digit.

I understand that some folks evidently had problems with Galaxy on ssb in the past but I have a brand new DX95T2 that has no problems with ssb at all. I believe they've fixed whatever was the problem although someone else here may have more info on what specifically was the deal there...triple7wva wrote:i must be the only one who hasnt had a bit of trouble from a galaxy on ssb??? jas
