I have a TRC-431 Realistic Navaho. i really like the radio its a good radio. The only thing that bugs me is if i turn the squelch up to knock out noise and someone breaks the squelch, the radio makes a loud pop before that person talks, is there any way to adjust that or perhaps put a softer squelch in the radio?

greetings i have a realistic trc 55 base station. and my radio has a simular problem as yours does. but mine kind of fades in and out when someone keeps up on squelch seting . maybe its just the way these old realistics may do? not sure. hopefuly someone can offer a better opinion on this matter. and btw welcome to the forum. hope to hear from you again soon. have a good day.
