howdy everyone. i just bought another oldie goldie radio lol. its a midland 76-863 40 channel base. it was checked by a tech and all is working great. i was wondering besides the tuneup , is there any chance this oldie can have extra channels put in?

i couldn,t resist the price on ebay. got it for under 20$ lol. not bad. seems i started a buying trend on cb's again hehehe. i know some of the older models work well and sometimes better than some of the new cb's. don,t get me wrong i realy love a awsome cb with all the extra's and all. just i love collecting some of the older radio's to keep and use sometimes.

there used to be so many people back when i was young that would talk local for hours every night on channel 12. i would listen to them complain about other peep's talking over them lol. it sure was alot fun back then. but now aday's you can,t find many on am until the skip rolls in. and channel 6 forget lol, unless you have a amp and great antenna . they,ll just shut you out and talk over you.

i didn,t get the chance to ask the tech on possibly seeing if the extra channels could be put in. my bad lol. does anyone have a midland of this model ? thanks so much and bless you all. this is the best site and group of people i,ve met in a long time . very knowledgeable and courtious. :chef:
