Has anyone hear when the sunspots suppose to come back in strong again??? I know some of the old timers out there say they go in cycle periods, just curious if anybody has a update on that??? "Eagleman" Dave :bigsmurf:

looking atmy chart online here is showing 43 sunspots today

Even though the Sunspot Number is 43 which is the highest it's been for cycle 24 what determines the MUF or Maximum Usable Frequency is the Solar Flux number. For 11 meters you would need a Solar Flux Number of 95 or better for the Sunspot Number to have any great effect on 27mhz.

The solar flux and sunspot numbers are on the first link left side with band conditions a more detail chart is about halfway down the page.
12-10 meters would apply for 11 meters.
