Hey Guys,
The handle is X-Ray with numbers 8719 out of Newfoundland Canada.
Currently operating a newly acquired RCI-2950DX in the mobile which is not working exactly like it should in my mind. Have you guys ever heard of a transceiver receiving excellent on AM/FM but coming in quiet on the sidebands? not so quiet I can't hear it.. but quiet enough to notice its not as loud and proud as it should be.
I'm aware of some adjustment points but I am unsure if any will "just" adjust the receive of SSB.
The rig is aligned perfectly and hasn't had any modifications... Amazing right? A virgin 2950DX to the golden screwdrivers..
Thanks in advance for your advice!

Are you saying that you are having a receive issue on SSB? Is the signal strength not there or is it when you go from AM to SSB on a noisy channel the noise quiets down. The 2950 does have a quieter receive on SSB.

Seems like ill hear someone on sideband when im on AM (in the garbled mess you would expect when you're on AM listening to SSB) And the garbled voices are pretty loud and clear.. when I switch to LSB or USB its like they drop off a bit. I can still hear them but they aren't hitting as hard as they were sounding when I had the radio on AM.
Im going to replace an antenna connector after work here and see what issues that may solve.. Since I wrote the original post I found the ground braid to be hanging on by a hair on my coax.
I appreciate the advice
