Power For Base Station
Do any of yall just use a battery to power your mobile radio as a base station? I have a deep cycle battery that I was thinking about using. I can put it just out side my window, and keep a slow charger on it to keep up. Would that work ok?

As long as you put it outside or in the garage you will be fine. I have had batteries in the past as backup power for my radios. I read your other post and if you are using the Cobra 25 it draws about 3 amps on transmit, the battery will last a while between charges.
