I just heard that on 38LSB this morning, although that is a rumor has been spread before...
I certainly hope that it isn't true... If so I can say he was a great operator and I enjoyed talking to him many, many, times.

I am deeply sorrowed to hear about the passing of Scott Raisor, aka; 4040. I did not know him well but did make several enjoyable contacts over the years. I felt that something was wrong because with I have not heard him on and with all the east west skip I knew he would have been in there. I hope his passing was in comfort and he was with loved ones at the time. 4040, you will be missed.

My prayers for him and his family,

Greg

Aw man. What awful news. I didn't know him personally either but I have talked to him a couple of times. Even managed to sneak into one of his gates. He was indeed a smooth talking operator and I loved watching all of his gates throughout the years. My prayers are with him and his family.

R.I.P. Scott-4040...

I got a chance to finally shake his hand a couple of years ago at the Manchester brake in Tennessee. Real nice guy, hate to hear about his stroke...When I herd he was admitted to the hospital last Friday with a 108 degree temperature, I didn't really think he was going to make it this time..

R.I.P. Big brother.

Rest in peace Brother 40. I never got the chance to meet or speak to Scott, but he will be missed for sure, Alway's enjoyed his gates from the dock of the bay and he called everyone Cotton Picker. Ton's of sorrow and prayer's going on in the radio world today and even on Face Book. I know for a fact that Big Gunn's (626) is very saddened by his passing. Again RIP Mr. 40 and prayers go out to his family and loved one's from Sherry and I. Until we meet again.

He was a great Radio Operator. I enjoyed watching his video gates. I made the trip to him when I had conditions on the West Coast a few times over the years. RIP Brother! You will be missed.
