General Install

Installed my General Washington today, let me know what you think.

Wilson 5000 trucker antenna, Astatic 636l mic, Swr is almost perfectly flat on 1, 19, and 40. Power (on my crappy meter) shows a dead key of ~4 on low, ~28 on high.

heres some pics...

I had to make a bracket to mount the radio behind the center console. Its not optimal but it works OK and is out of my way for the most part.

Thanks for the kudos. I still want to do a few things like a frequency counter and maybe an Texas Star 250 amp a little down the road. Nothing too fancy, just enough to get it done.

I don't see the King. I see Lightning, Mater, Chick Hick (and some other car I don't recognize - light green to the left of Lightning)

Looks like the shifter next to the mic didn't come from the factory that way. Look at the hole that was cut to put it in.
That is kinda interesting.

Here's what I think it is. The shifter next to the transmission is the factory shifter for the 4WD system. I believe the vehicle was modified with a different transfer case and the other shifter needed to be added, making the factory shifter useless. But it's just a guess.

It might be a dual transfer case setup???

For those ultra low gears. 1 mph and red line!
